BIOGRAPHY
AMINA BHIMLA was born, raised and lives in Canada. Her parents are from the Philippines and India. During her early teenage years, she volunteered as Assistant Teacher for the ISNA School's summer program. She taught children between the ages of 4 and 7. After graduating from High School, her and the family moved for two years to Pakistan where other family lived. When returning to Canada, she began volunteering for a local community journal, The Ambition. It was where she first had her poetry and some articles published. She was one of the Writing Committee Members for the journal for five years. She works in retail sales while pursuing her dreams. On the sidelines, she is Co-President of the Paris Black fan club and updates Paris Black's Official Website. She has traveled around the world. She has published two poetry books in 2005, Blinding Colors and Every Word. As of 2006, she has published one health book concerning eczema: The Journey Deep Within and a poetry book Amongst The Branches. In the summer of 2007, she published a Photobook titled, Path To The Soul. She is currently working on five books; Le Sable D'or (Poetry), Jasmine's Secret Diaries (Story/ Poetry), Jenny and Penny (Children's),  Poetic Pixels (Poetry/Photography -in collaboration with Bronwen Glynn), and Pieces Scattered (Poetry).
Amina had always been artistic and enjoyed art class as a child and in her teens. It wasn't until high school when she began to explore that venue more. It was always thru art that she expressed herself best. It has only been recently that she has decided to explore those options once more and take a new look into those artistic possibilities.
It wasn't until her teenage years when Amina began writing short stories. She only started writing poetry in Grade twelve in Mrs. Greene's class as an assignment. In writing poetry, her world changed. She enjoyed it a lot, so much that for some time, it was all she concentrated in life. She has never looked back.

As some of you may be aware, my health has been at an imbalance. I have been dealing with issues concerning a chronic form of eczema. For some time now I have been taking natural remedies to battle this problem. In doing so, my symptoms are slowly disappearing. I can't wait to be back in full motion, in a normal pace and I will keep you updated.

I have written a book on this matter, The Journey Deep Within.
