THROUGH ROSE TINTED LENSES The world is warm and kind Painted pink and red with love Romance blooms with its thorns Through rose tinted lenses Nostalgia of our words loom In the air that feeds us oxygen Sunlight bright with change Our world build on fantasy Strokes brushed with hyacinths Hiding underneath the dreams seen Thrugh rose tinted lenses When reality sets in its buds The world may be dark and cold Blue colors make sadden eyes When the thorns prick thru the light As affectionate symbols display In absence of our physicality The world becomes worn and drab Without our rose tinted lenses Hearts may bleed with despair And blood will run with pain But love flows on ever so blindly Through rose tinted lenses Amina Bhimla © Copyrights 2007 |

TO DREAM I lie there beneath the sky Looking above at the stars Watching the moon brighten Thinking of dear memories I seed the laughter and tears Feeling the smiles and cries Hearing the screams and cheers Watching the time disappear I close my eyes to dream Amina Bhimla (c) Copyrights 2006 This is an insert from my most recent poetry book, Amongst The Branches. |
